how much is enough for traveling photos?

Try read this,
It is not easy to have good photographs when traveling with non-photographers. Whenever I go travel, my camera is always with me and I took photos of almost everything. Believe me. Even my colleagues said that my next generation would go through an evolution and be born with only one eye, can be zoom out and zoom in. Then it would saved them a lot of money from buying camera.

When we travel, we tend to move very fast as time = money is flying as it passed. We won't have much time to stop and admire something. Our eyes, and also memory won't catch as much details as a camera does.

@ preference of cameras
I usually carry around my compact camera and DSLR. DSLR is not very convenient when I am alone and around complicated neighbourhood. It is a big risk to be mobbed. It is very good to carry a compact camera when visiting places that forbid camera. Once I went to pyramid, camera is not allowed in the pyramid. My camera was nicely hide in my pocket and the guard didn't try to touch me because I am a lady. For guys, it is better to hide it in your underwear.

@regret or not.
It is very recommended to browse through your photos everyday with a bigger screen than your camera screen. Then you would realise how few your photos are and what pose you look best. It is much better to regret for one day then regret after 1 week holiday.

@quality VS quantity
Average quality for more quantity is my principle. Interesting details may slipped out of your finger when you are trying to capture the beauty of your mole. Capture photo with flash help prevent blur, somehow not applicable when shooting through window panel.
@subject
When I travel, I always took photos of rubbish bins, as you already know. Did I wrote that rubbish bin can represent how the locals care for their hygiene? It is kind of hard to take photos of locals, without making them feeling like they are something from the zoo. It is highly recomended to smile to your subject, and small talk to make them comfortable before snap snap. After snap snap, show them their photos and praise them. It makes everyone happy. Or you can behave like a paparazi, hide behind a bush, pretend you are just holding your camera and not looking at your viewfinder and snap snap. Then quickly leave the future crime scene.

@remember
Remember to take nice photos of your face for Facebook profile photo.
Remember that no one know you at the foreign soil, making funny pose is permissible.
Remember to charge battery everyday, and bring universal adapter whenever travel.
Isn't she cute? No posing, just natural. Just like her curly hair, hair colour, skin colour and her eyes. This photo was taken on my flight from Jakarta to Makassar.

Pretty lady by the road

If you are ladies...

If you are a guy who looks feminine....

If you are a guy who looks like gigolo...

If you are a guy who looks like a bully...

Never ever stand by the road around Kampung Air (Water village) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, at night.

Don't be deceived by the name of Kampung (village), because it is not village at all. It is located at the center of the city.
Along the road, there are many prostitutes, transvestites and motels.

Last time, my brother, my lady friend and me was standing by the road waiting for our friend. Suddenly a car drove passed by us slowly, and even wink at my friend. Whenever my brother come out from hotel with us girls, people will give my brother a weird look, maybe thinking my brother is a pimp.

This time, going out with my cousins from the age of 14-17. Whenever they saw ladies standing by the road, they said they are prostitutes.

As a kindhearted blogger, I warned you!!

Is urination in public a new trend?

Yesterday evening, I went for a walk on a hill. That hill is actually an old road and not longer use as main road. So it is tar road with bush and trees along the road, with good view of sea, however recently the scenery is covered with big houses.

When I was walking, suddenly an old man in 50s, around 50 meters in front of me suddenly stop and facing bush. I think he was peeing. It is obvious because after he finished his business, he adjusted his pants. Maybe the uncle thought no one can see his 'elephant' because it is small he is facing the bush, that was why he urinated so boldly in front of so many people.

Few days ago, my friend just told me that there are many people urinate in public recently. I never saw anyone urinate public before, And I get to witness public urination on Thursday. It can be a trend...

OK! Let's divert the attention to ME.

In 2007, when our crew was setting up our basecamp, at Gemsa, Red Sea, Egypt, the toilet was not set up yet. As ladies, we can't just squat and pee in an open space.

Hence we need a big cardboard to cover our action. Below is the photo of my friend carrying the cardboard. It can also used as sun shield.

Then we chose a location, where not easy to be detected from high. Just in case someone look down from the hill. So we decided this corner is the best. Learned from the cat, cover your own shit.

What a nice scene... But beware of human waste!

examssss..........

Attended SPA (Suruhanjaya Perhidmatan Awam) or Public Services Commission Malaysia exam for grade 41.
Spending almost whole day, 9am-4pm taking exams is actually very tiring.
Blurring my eyes with so many A B C D, making it tougher for me to write essays in Malaysian language and English.

One of the English essay questions is about dangers from social networking sites such as Facebook, Tweet, Myspace, and bla bla bla.
One of the points that I wrote is that revealing too much personal information on those sites will make it easy for stalkers and criminal to attack the user.

If you cheat on your ex before, if she found out about who your current girlfriend, if she is still hates you, if you and your current girlfriend likes to write where you go everyday on Facebook, she can get revenge easily because your track is not covered.

Perhaps she will get the circumcision knife to cut cut cut while you are having a nap in a hotel.

It is quite easy to answer the questions for general knowledge paper. Most of the answers are actually can be guessed by reading the questions carefully.

Malaysia language essay is the toughest one. I believe most of us who had been working for some time, will have the difficulty in writing a proper essay. As I was a good student and my teacher in high school was a good teacher, I still remember the typical essay marking scheme. It can't be wrong if stick to the marking scheme.

Tips to write an essay:
Has an introduction and a conclusion paragraph.
In the introduction, some of the sentences in the question have to be written in the introduction paragraph.
Has 3-5 main points.
In each paragraph, the point must be written clearly, with 2-3 sentences of elaboration, and 1 sentence of example.
So generally each paragraph will have 5 scores. You can figure it out how many paragraph you need to write based on the marks and amount of words you are required to write.

Hope this is an useful tips and not yet outdated..

Character can be seen by the way you play Minesweeper

Minesweeper is a game that require much concentration and fast response to number. It also needs you to make decisions fast.

If you have a small island of boxes which are not clicked, and not much clue of which box will contained mine. However there are left big chunk of boxes which are not clicked, and it is easy to guess where the mines are located. Which will you choose to solve first?

Small island or big easy island??

Few weeks ago, I will choose the small island. My reason is why not take the risk to solve the small island, if it can not be solved, it will only be wasting my time to step on mines when I am almost finish the game. I chose to take the risk.

However, the current me will choose to solve the big chunk, easy to solves boxes.

I found it is much easy to solve all the boxes, by solving the chunk first.

Whenever I saw the small dangerous island of mines, automatically my mind will give out warning that I may steps on mines. Emotionally, I will be eager to solve the small dangerous island, a.k.a. committing suicide.

It is easier to solve it by clicking the big chunk first, because one clue may leads to many clues. My mind will be more relax and more rational to make decision. It is always not good to make decision when the mind is not calm. It will only lead to disaster, such as killed by mines, may lose a leg or head.

I had learn to be more patient and not rushing in making decision. Sometimes there is the need to stop, analyze and think in our life. It may seems right at the moment something happened. After some calming session and thorough thinking, everything may become clear, and found it it was a consequence of a wrong decision.

Asking for advice is not bad. But only you know the best about your situation. In your consideration, your friends' advice can only be used as a guide. We have to make the decision for ourselves, meaning don't fully trust your friends' advices.

There is an exceptional though. If someone thinking to commit suicide, I mean real suicide such as by jumping from high without any bungee rope attached or drink poison, if your friend told you not to kill yourself, you should really trust your friend on this. Just don't trust the wrong friend!!!!!

Comment about Relationship

I found this comment at a blog, which is very informative and realistic.

"For good relationships to start, people should not be seen as possessions to be desired. Just be natural and enjoy good company. If something special clicks, then it's fated. If someone else has already made the connection, then remain as distant friends. Don't ruffle the water by making effort to pull away or to get closer. Keep it loose and friendly.

Make more friends. Then the problem gets spread out. Also more chances are created (;P).

Sometimes we may like someone like crazy but that person just cannot return the same passion. It's fated. Later when we think back, maybe it was better that way. Relationships that are not built on natural feelings but based on artificial reasons built on personal needs exclusively will not last long without pain.

A good and strong relationship is always built on real love and true understanding. Real because it will be tested time and again, and true because it will be needed time and again. There will be many hurdles to overcome together along the same road of life for both. The initial feelings will have to settle down to the mundane things like budgeting and helping to grow each other's strengths and reduce each other's weaknesses.

If such thoughts and feelings are shown at the very beginning, then the person who will be the one will be better able to appreciate the other person.

That 'someone' is just one out of seven billion today. Yet the miracle given to those who are ready to receive it is that one day somehow one special 'someone' will turn up.

Because that special 'someone' will at the same moment also experience that same miracle."

Tips for travel to uncivilised location from Nana (a female homosapien)

  1. If you lost your luggage at the airport, and desperately need to wash your oily face, please use body soap to wash your face. It will keeps your face out of any oily particles and also out of any fans for almost one year. It will make you feels cleaner and also feels the outbreak of acne and blackheads.
  2. Skip the trip to hair salon before travel. It will keep your hair thicker and bouncier than ever. Split ends will doubled up the volume of your hair after 3 weeks. After 6 weeks, split of split ends will unimaginable.
  3. Do not check the weather of your destination and transit countries. Dramatic change of weather keeps your life interesting. It is a very exciting life when you do not have thick clothes for very cold weather! Don't bother yourself bringing heavy luggage with sweater.
  4. There is no need to check your visa before you travel for work. You may end up spending few days in luxury hotel if your company is generous. Or you may end up in a nice apartment with no man as heater to warm you up on cold days of winter in South Africa.
That's for now.....

Lesson about Minesweeper

I am so bad about teaching. Always ran out of patience when I teach someone. Although I always laugh when I teach, my students always feel intimidated by my loud voice. My juniors always think I am a lioness when I taught them ... ^ ^'''

This is my 1st attempt in writing manual on my blog. Hopefully no one will be scare of minesweeper after reading my manual...

My 1st trial in playing minesweeper was when I was around age 16. My brother taught me how to play it just by saying, "all you need to do is click click." Of course, I catch no ball. What an instruction of play is that! Click click???

My 2nd attempt was when I am at uni at age 17. My kind housemate taught me all about minesweeper. She didn't just said click click and I did catch all click click.

Introduction to Minesweeper!

< Beginner
                                          Intermediate>

Expert

Minesweeper is very cute because it has a smiley face. It is smiling when no bomb explode and sad when you found the bomb. Just click the smiley when you feel like starting a new game. Don't be shy in clicking it.

At left top, there is a box count of how many bombs in a minesweeper.

At top right, there is a box count of how much time used to complete a game. Please try to finish it as as soon as possible.

There are 3 levels - beginner, intermediate and expert. Some people like to challenge themselves to finish beginner level in just couple second. Oooooffff! Their finger must be like bullet and with very good luck in clicking.

Goal - finish a.s.a.p without tripping over a bomb, or else you will lost a limb or 2 limbs or your life.

Understanding

Please do not get intimidated by so many small boxes. It is not a confined place with limited oxygen, so don't get agitated and breathe normally.

what does that '1' doing there? Does it mean anything? Let's zoom in before any further explanation.

This '1' means there is only 1 bomb at its surrounding box.

This will happen when  you click click and found a bomb.

No limb lost, just a sad smiley face. No one will want a sad smiley face. so try to make it happy as long as we can.

Now we know how to estimate the location of bombs just by looking at numbers. What do we do to acknowledge the existence of a bomb?
It is easy. Just right click the box. Flagged it!

That is all about minesweeper. My 2 cents is that this game is about luck, fact finger clicking and how friend is your eyes with your mind.
My luck is only 0.1 %. I have to play 200 times to win once!

Happy sweeping!

Oh yeah! I just remember that mines = bombs. That's why it is called minesweeper!
